    Pay scale means what?

    Allo lovely ladies

Now I've moved into my first MQ, I've begun putting in for jobs on camp. In the job details, under pay, it gives a letter-number combination as, I presume, some sort of code. In the instance I can remember off hand, it sad "C4". I can only presume that C is for civilian (O for officer, E for enlisted, right?) but I can't think of where to find a chart telling me what C4 actually equates to.

I still need any job that'll have me what with me being in Germany but I'd still like to know what I'm signing up for.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks!

    I can't find anything about a 'C4' pay scale there's a C1 or C2 but if you're a skill level 4 then you're looking at a min £22k which isn't bad.

But then someone else might have a better search result than me just sticking it into google (as not at work).

The document Boots has posted refers to UK Civil Service pay scales for the MoD and the job you're looking at will, I suspect, be an LEC (Locally Engaged Civilian) or UKD (UK Dependant) post so will have a different set of pay grades/scales. Sorry that doesn't answer your initial question Mrs A but thought it might help!
