I work in recruitment at the moment, and have done for 2 years now, and many a time I have helped my friends with CVs such as making them, or casting an eye over them.

I've always stuck with words CV wizard-very useful and very good!! I found monster.com very good as well for jobs!

Yeah definitely use Monster if you can! We're currently in the middle of a huge recruitment drive and we're on it every day, ringing people up and I remember when I was job hunting I had no end of phone calls

i'm job hunting currently, its getting quite urgent now i've got bills come in that i cant pay! yeah, i know i'm stupid, shouldnt have taken out a mobile phone contract if i didnt have a job! my last interview was a disaster, it was on the phone, and ooh, the memory isnt good. would you mind, if maybe, next time i get an interview, feck knows when that is gonna be mind, can i pm you for a could of interview tips?

I am crap at interviews, i always manage to get one, but rarely the job.

I am looking for jobs in Portsmouth at the moment, I had a copy of my CV but I lost the floppy disc it was on
I have applied for a job in Portsmouth Sorting Office with Royal Mail 8O , not really what I wanna do but I work for post Office Ltd at the mo so Im hoping they will consider me.....apparently the sorting office are taking people on for xmas or something!!!
If anyone knows of any jobs in Portsmouth, Please let me know!!!!!!

PSS has very kindly written some advice regarding job hunting and interview techniques - see here.

I would also check with Portsmouth City Council to see if they have a "temp pool" like Southampton City Council do. Lots of different jobs and most of the times you can get one lasting weeks or months.
