Flexible working is the big thing at the moment, so ask away - you'll never forgive yourself if you don't.

I'm sure if you're up front with your employer they'll be accommodating.

This may not help (in fact it probably won't but) I have a massive office chair. Really it is HUGE and you can't see me in it. The other week I was on a training course out of the office and apparently people kept coming in and talking to the chair thinking I was in it. Maybe that could work? They would never know!

Thanks guys. Think I need to sit my boss down and have a good chat. He's just not all that approachable!! I don't mind working full time but I would like to be able to pick my daughter up from school a couple of nights a week, and be able to drop her off at school.
Plus we have a "gathering" of kids once a week so it'd be nice to carry on doing that.
Suppose I'll have to make some sacrifices!
