    Just to say hello! :)

    Hi everyone!

I've been browsing RP for a while but only just picked up the courage to join and say hello on this dreary wednesday morning! The words of wisdom that I came across whilst having a sneaky read through various threads have been invaluable and have kept me sane so far I just found out a couple of days ago that my OH is going to be deployed to Afghanistan this time next year for a 6 month tour so this place is a godsend! Ages away still but I'm ashamed to say I've already had my fair share of a few breakdowns whilst he was sleeping soundly!

Hope to get to know you all and rest assured I'll be back boring you with my silly rants on a regular basis!

    Morning and welcome to RP

Never too early for the bar to be open so I will have the first bottle you can lay your hands on please!

Welcome to RP! Mine is a large wine please.

You'll go through all sorts of emotions in the build up to him going and being away but that is where RP is fabulous as you can vent as much as you want/need.

Hi and welcome, mines.. actually, mines a tea... followed by a champagne cocktail... for no other reason than it's Wednesday (and you are buying!)

Lots of good advice and people in the same boat as the dates get closer, so jump on the threads and enjoy the company.

Anyway, off to have the tea now!

    Toodles

Heloooooooo and welcome I am sure you will find some helpful information in the many pages of RP. And if you can't just ask.

Hello and welcome. I'm having a fullscale selfpity-party tonight so shan't bore you with any details... but suffice it to say that RP has kept me sane many a long, lonely night/week/month. For now, I'll just indulge in a really heavy-handed helping of virtual Malibu - cannot wait for madam to pop out now so I can indulge in the real thing again!

    Hello and welcome.
Wine for me please...though am tempted with a Gin - love that advert 'I don't like tea. I like Gin'! x

Welcome to the party terracotta, I'm off for a run and sauna shortly so will stick to a nice fresh glass of juice while looking lovingly at the vats of rose in the corner.

If you're after help advice and support you're in the right place, we tend not to sugarcoat things and aren't afraid to bite occasionally but we've all been there and have our own ideas for how to cope with this fun lifestyle we picked when we adopted our military pets.

Hello! I'll just have a tea please as I have a long drive ahead of me today. I have not had to do the deployment thing as yet but there are many ladies that can sympathise with you here.

Thanks everyone! Quite fancy a large white wine myself (bottle that is!). On second thoughts, work will probably not appreciate me showing up drunk so I'll stick with a nice cuppa tea!! xx

    Brandy sour coming up!

I wouldn't really call it consolation, but it's good to see so many people in the same boat, gives me a bit of hope that it is do-able!

Welcome! My employers will have to put up with me coming back a bit sloshed this afternoon. It won't be the first time. Nor the last I shouldn't think.

It would make the afternoon a hell of a lot more interesting that's for sure! I used to work in a pub a little while ago and no work day went by without me being a wee bit tipsy!

Hi, I keep plugging for my employer to change lunch hour into happy hour but despite overwhelming support from my fellow colleagues management have yet to put this into effect....

Welcome and mine's a cider please.
