    Hello from me!

Just a quick hi to my new forum buddies. I will be frequenting this site a lot more later on this year when OH gets deployed for the first time in 10 years. He's just got his deployment notice, which wasn't really a shock.
The thing I'm least looking forward to is dealing with the emotional fallout from the kids once he's gone, but on the upside........I am looking forward to chatting to some like minded peeps on here (whilst juggling work, studying, kids, clubs etc...) and getting into the 'routine' to enable life to go on :-)

    Tata for now. x

    Hello and welcome to RP,

First deployment in 10 years... wow, that's going to be a strange feeling I guess.

Not sure how old your kids are, but if they are old enough, get them to send him bluey's, the kids get to feel they can still talk to dad and he gets the letters.

There will be good and bad days when he goes, but the busier you are, the quicker it goes, and then there's this forum, where I'm pretty sure someone has seen it, been through it or felt it before, I know sometimes just reading the posts has made me feel so much better.

Anyway, it may be early, but I have a feeling it's going to be one of those days, so I'll have a wee Strawberry gin to warm the throat and at least make the start of the day more bearable!
Nothing to see here, move on by....

All the cool kids have a signature but I have nothing witty or profound to say.

A strawberry Gin sounds lovely. I may get used to this......
Maybe not first thing in the morning though. A coffee is required today as I'm working from home and need waking up!
