    Hey hey :)

Hi everyone. Obviously I'm new here so heres a bit about me! My other half and I have been together for 6 and half years and finally got married in July 11. Then after 6 weeks of being married my OH swanned off to BRNC and will be passing out in April We're trying for kids (when we get to see each other lol) but no luck as of yet! I live with my in laws atm and cannot wait to get our own place, to finally get on with life lol. I hope to stick around here for a while, I really need the company at the moment, especially with people who are going through the same sort of things Hope to get to know you all a bit better soon!

Welcome. I would normally ask for a strawberry cider but this morning can I have some gaviscon? Hope you manage to escape the inlaws soon. I can normally only manage a few hours with mine

Morning and welcome to the madhouse, I'm an RN OH and he's currently at sea while I'm trying to buy a house for us.

I think the way things are going, he'll be home before I find a house, but that's life... anyway, loads of nice support here, sprinkled with tell it like it is, so jump right in.

Morning and welcome! I hear a bar opening somewhere and maybe a horse's neck will help settle my yucky stomach flu

Good to see another RN missus on here. And RM Wag - you're not sort of the same family, you ARE the same family!

Haha - I know that - but if my OH's moans about the RN (he's instructing at the moment) are anything to go by, he most certainly wishes they were not the same family!!

LMAO - my OH says very similar things about RMs after the beastings he had at Raleigh. He doesn't hate them as much as PTIs but that's not really saying much!

Welcome to RP MrsCutlass - you can probably tell from the above that I'm an RN OH. I will have a pint of Gaviscon this morning as I'm suffering - this baby hates me

Hello and welcome! This place is the only thing standing between me and gibbering insanity some days!

My OH is in the Army, and it's Year 2 of non-stop training... starting to think I was mental to sign up for this, but maybe that's just all the preggie hormones, lol. He finishes Sandhurst in April, starts his YO course (4 months) ten days later, and after that he still wants to do further training so maybe we'll be together properly by December... and he's already talking about deployment next year...

Would love to join you all at the bar, but sadly I'm not allowed atm... can't have a cigarette either... but only 17 weeks to go (hopefully she won't be late!)

How about an orange juice Sounds bloody tough, I sometimes have my days where I think 'oh God, have I seriously done this?' and he hasn't even passed out yet! My Dad is ex-RAF but got out when I was 8 and thats pretty much all the experience I have, apart from my mates parents being deployed when I lived in Germany (Dad then became a civvy lol). But everyone seems really sound on here, I can tell its gonna be fun :P

    Hello,

I'll have a cup of tea, my OH is RAF. I'm getting ready for him going away in about a month.
I lived with my inlaws for 3 months when I first moved, they are lovely but nothing like having your own space.

So far he hasn't had a moan about RM lol but I know he has a hell of a lot of respect for all of the forces! I mean, there is the banter, in his wedding speech he mentioned about when he took my dad to the fleet air arm museum to ask for his permission to marry me and slipped in a joke along the lines of to show my dad how 'real flying was done' (my dad is ex-raf lol). As I said, its just banter lol. Its strange, I always said 'i'll never be a forces wife' because i saw how crap a time my mum had. OH used to be a rocker, long hair, rarely shaved lol wouldnt think it now! As much as I loved him as a grungy rocker, I did take great pleasure in chopping his hair off a couple of years ago :P
