Thread: Does anyone have a partner who is in the Army as a Logistics Boat Crewman?

Hello, just a quick question if anyone can help.. My boyfriend has told me that he wants to join the Army as a Logistics Boat Crewman and I am worried about how long he will have to be away for at at time. Does anyone know of how long on average he will be away from home for?

I'm not sure about the straight answer to the question, Charlotte, or even whether there is one - the answer is probably "how long is a piece of string?" - but I did find something on the Army website about the job:

Logistic boat crewman doesn't actually exist. The army website lists it as a trade but actually he can either be a mariner or a marine engineer. Will give you more info when I'm not on the mobile. Does he know which of the two he wants to do?
