Hi all... new to all of this

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to all of this but i thought i would say hi. I have just strated a relationship with a guy in the Army, and i'm not sure how to deal with it all. I really like him alot, and i don't want to lose him. i have heard rumors about Forces Blokes, but for some reason this guy seems to be different. I am not a possesive person, I believe to have a relationship is the art of complementing someones life style.

I guess i have joined this forum to find out a few tricks about what to do when he gets back? or how to make sure its me he is thinking of? what gets these guys going, turned on, when they have been on exercise for 3 weeks? or 6 weeks of training

I'm 27 and hes 32 he has been in 8 years... if that helps

    All advice is welcome

    Big hi to all

Hi and welcome to the site!!
Not all army blokes are the same, as you have found! so if you like him don't let the fact that he's in the army affect your feelings!!!
    Hope everything goes well!!

8 years? thats nothing! my father is 8 years older than mother and my ex army man was 12yrs older than me!

Training and going on exercise - well they have to do it, as it's part of the job so not a lot of choice!!

    big welcome

    Hi LMPP

I only joined myself yesterday and for the same reasons as you really. My TA guy and I get on fab, but I'm worried too. These guys live in a totally different world to us and I want to be able to fit in with him whilst getting him interested in mine. I also want to know how to make sure he's thinking of me and how I should react when he comes home - other than whats foremost in most of our minds lol.

I'm 41 and he's nearly 41. He was a regular soldier, then left to work for the MOD within the TA. He is also a TA soldier.

Any advice for me would be welcomed too.
    Thankyou
    Juls xxx

    Hi Tigra,

Wow i thought i was the only one worried about all this... I thought i was stupied or something. no one i talk to seems to understand it! all my girl friends.

I'm just really pleased to know i'm not going out of my mind..! i acutlly meet him 12 years ago when we were younger and then only met up with him about 3 months ago after i moved back from overseas, and i felt the way we did then, and i feel like a teenager again... a lot of time has past and i think that makes me nervous to.

I know he likes me alot as the messages i'm get as he is away at the moment, doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out how he feels.

I just don't want to mess this one up

Hello and welcome to the site,

As you have seen not all of them are the same, yes some are total cnuts but then there are men on civvie street like that too.

What gets them turned on, weell they are male and that part of the anataomy works in the same way as all males most are easily pleased and will show appreciation to to the effort you put in.

Don't worry about age and how long he's been in, my OH is 9 yrs older than me and although he is TA now he has served 19 yrs Regs and TA.

Have fun and enjoy it the same as you would any relationship

Hi,I'm not too far from you....

Hi, Im Danielle and Im from Aldershot in Hampshire. My husband is in the army and based at 10 regt. He's 36 and im 27 this month.

Before i met Dave,my only experiences of squaddies were not good ones, but there really are true 'soldiers' out there, not squaddies and they are fantastic blokes to be with. The whole lifestyle is fantastic too.

I'm off to bed now, i was just checking this before i went up, but if you want to know any more then pm me or email/msn me on mod edit...if you want?

    much luv

    Hello Little miss pink pants

Hmmmmnnn what gets a man going after he has been away for weeks? Practically anything!

I normally buy a few things he hasn't had for a while like yummy food and a tub of haagen daaz, what you do with it is up to you.
Just make sure he has a wash though as depending on what he has been doing-he might not have had a shower for a while-and I don't mean a squaddie shower (Lynx bodyspray applied just about everywhere!).

Oh and don't do the naked picture to remind you thing unless you know he is 100% trustworthy.
    Have fun

Excellent advice - I couldn't have put it better myself!! (Except in my day it was Brut, not Lynx )

    hey,

welcome to the site.....all i can think of for fitting in with his likes is just try and get into his interests and get him into yours...my OH is teaching me about rock music and when he gets posted he said he will help me learn how to drive aswell which is cool.....emmm when he goes away on excersise or something make him his faverourite meal like mine loves chilli so when he came back from kenya thats what i cooked him....and not all soldiers are the same, i have worked for naafi for a year and 8 months and there are some right a**holes out there but like someone said that is the same for civi street to....however there are some real fantastic people in the forces aswell so dont pay too much heed to rumors about soldiers.....

sorry for my long post haha
    welcome
