At home with snorey dog - unless someone wants us to come to London.

I'll be working through (apart from Easter Sunday as we HAVE to shut!) earning some extra time off to spend when the OH is back in May.

I'm off out to work this afternoon with early shifts both saturday and sunday and a day shift on Monday.

It may be bank holiday weekend but it keeps my mind occupied whilst the lad is away.

Have a good weekend everyone and stay safe.

Today I will mostly be lounging, recovering from red wine/whisky last night and listening to Mr K swearing as he tries to put a blind up

The rest of the weekend I will mostly be pottering although I'm trying to talk Mr K into taking me to the zoo for my birthday.

I have avoided the outlaws this weekend which for me is an achievement in itself. I shall be spending most of the time looking for bathrooms and kitchens, though...and buying power tools (for the DIY, not THAT kind, you dirty-minded lot!)

Surely that's because you already have one.

Re: Easter Travel Where are you going or what are you doing

I know where i wont be going...and thats wherever Mr B's stupid satnav says to go!!
Went for a drive a couple of weeks back to the coast for some fish and chips, i drove as usual as Mr B drives like a cross between Lewis Hamilton and a psycho.
10 mins into the journey ( which i can make in 90 mins or less with eyes shut ) he remembers his satnav in the glove box and decides to use it...Cue tempers, rage and a desire to kill.
Instead of going straight down 2 short motorways then onto a B road and into the coast car park, this thing decides to take us round every bloody village ever built en route!!
First i got stuck behind a sunday driver grandad and then when i could finally overtake, i got stuck behind a bloody tractor towing a trailer
Eventually clears that with screeching tyres, a gearbox begging for mercy and the dog cowering in the boot.
20 miles later i found myself behind......the same sodding sunday grandad i had overtaken earlier!!!!!
By this time i was wrestling with Mr B for the satnav which i wanted to chuck out of the window ( closely followed by him )
Finally got to the coast some 2.5 hours and around 30 mile extra later!!
Mr B's response? 'Oh well, least we saw some nice countryside'
    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

This easter, i will mostly be staying in my garden!
    Bossybitch says......Problem?

I'm very jealous of everybody as I'm working 15:00-23:00 shifts today and tomorrow (Easter Saturday & Sunday)

Passport didn't turn up but had a great day and developed Easter Sunday sunburn. Not good but a good indication of the summer to come. Note to self: must buy sunscreen next week. Life is good (but only due to copious amounts of pinot grigio.)

Am back from my week away, absolutley knackered though, my direct train got cancelled so three changes and a 1.5hour bus ride later I was in my home town waiting for my lift (Dont worry love I'll be waiting when you arrive at the station.....45mins later I'm still sat there). Still was a fab week and as far as I remember we didnt damage anyone in London.
