Haha! I think i've unoffically been nominated 'Moving to Fallingbostel' spokeswoman or something

    Welcome to the board Martha

I don't know much about renting from the army as I had a naafi flat and my ex-OH rented privately off camp, but there's that monthly free booklet (that I always forget the name of!) that you get in the big naafi that tells you about flats for rent. Other than that, the best place to get advice would be the Hive on camp (link - http://www.hive-bfg.co.uk/Fally.htm) as they know better than I.

Are you looking to work on or off camp?

    Re: Moving to Fallingbostel

There are no surplus quarters in Fallingbostel, so rental off the Army would not happen. If your planning on coming over with your Son could he not add you on his housing application? I know people get an extra room if they have a live in Nanny or au pair. There are places to rent in the area, as Fally Fox has already suggested it might be worth getting on contact with the local HIVE.Have a look on the Germany forum - links to the HIVE and other information about Fallingbostel there.Sluice

    Re: Moving to Fallingbostel

    Hello guys,
You're probably fed up of hearing this but i am marrying my boyfriend in January and moving over to Fallingbostel asap as he will be moving over there August this year.
He is only a private and i am worried that we may be bottom of the list for marriage quarters and hope we won't have wait to long to get a place. But as i am completely new to this i need some advice on what to get for the flat? I heard that they are fully furnished but after reading some posts i am not so sure...
But my main worry will be gettin a job.. i would like one on camp? As i will only be 18/19 at the time.

Any one got any words of wisdom.. as i am practically a new born to this. This site is a great idea by the way!

    Hey Kim

Welcome to the site! All I can say for now without repeating myself is have a read of the German section on here and see what you can find (there's loads of info about accommodation and work), and if you have any more questions just ask
