    Helloooooooo

Hiya everyone, just thought I would join up and get involved a little, my OH is waiting for his date to start Basic at Catterick, shouldn't be too long now.

Anyway my name is Kelley, I am 30yrs young and a mum of 2 gorge kids Jack 12 and Jessie 9. My OH is 24, hehe I got a toyboy LOL.

I'm not looking forward to him being away from us, but I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it cuz that is how it will be from now on. It's good to have something like this site though to come to and chat with people who are either in the same boat or know what you are going through.

Anyway I think that's enough of me going on.
Hope to speak to some of you around the boards

    Kelley

Hello. You're definitely not the only one with a younger model. I've got one of those but after all these years I've aged him. Apparently. Well, that's his excuse anyway!

Hope his Basic goes well. You know where to come for a good old moan anyway!

    Re: Helloooooooo

    Hey Kelley,

welcome back, hope to see you on here a bit more, come let rip, rant and moan and laugh with the rest of us!

Give yourself the day to feel a wreck, but pick yourself up for the next day and be the strong woman you know deep down you are. You have your kids to be strong for, a man to be proud of and he'll be proud of you holding it all together for the family.

That's what us women do isn't it, hold it all together for everyone!

    Re: Helloooooooo

Hiya hun, thanks for repling, too be honest I don't feel very strong at the moment, I am holding it together for the kids, its affected my eldest more than I ever thought it would... he's been heart broken since my OH left, hes 12 now an althought my OH isn't his biological father he is there more than his real dad.
I feel like part of me is missing, I'm just wandering round not knowing what to do with myself.

Its my birthday tomorrow an all I want to do is be with him.

    Is all this normal

    xx

P.s sorry for going on and on

    Re: Helloooooooo

Yep it is totally normal. We all cope differently and have different timescales for doing stuff. When OH first goes away I clean everything that aint nailed down, which, bizarrely enough makes me feel better.

We all have good days and bad days. Sometimes the time drags but sometimes it really flies by.

Unfortuneately for us birhdays, anniversaries, Christmasses etc sometimes have to be spent being apart from them. I've said somewhere else on here that Mr Laws has never been around for any of my life changing stuff - not great but we cope.

There's no magic answer - if there was I'd patent it and make a bloody fortune. Keep looking in on her - the folks are great and we DO know how it feels xxx
