Hiya Emma - welcome to RP - having read the posts I would say that you are well settled in!!

Ahh the granite city - scenes of various shehanigans in my youth - now am very sober and grown up (apparently!!).

Yeah, it is very true that only those with OH in the forces have any idea what it is like - never mind dealing with all that tetosterone when they come back from whatever they are doing.... ah well.

    enjoy.

They call them the heavenly dancers! Oh happy days, freezing at the beach end with the sleet coming off the North Sea.

Welcome to RP, Emma, loads of good advice and friendly people on here. My OH (he's in the army) and I have been doing the long distance thing for years, it's not easy, I miss him terribly, but it's wonderful when we do have meet ups. Thank goodness for emails/chat and texts nowadays, and letter writing is special, I have kept all the cards and letters he's sent me from various places and reread them when I'm feeling down.

I'm jealous of you, you can cheer yourself up with rowies!

    Best of luck,
    fmp

aka butteries or Aberdeen rolls, my fave hangover breakfast! Any visitor from the NE knows to bring me a supply to stick in the freezer. Full of grease and even better eaten warm with butter or rasp jam.

OMG! HOW could I have forgotten about butteries? We used to get them at school - the ONLY thing worth eating for breakfast - with jam and butter...warm...oh fairmaidofperth, you are bang on the money with that one

    I'm hungry now...
    Opinionated, Moi?
