    New in Germany

    Hi All

I am new to this forum lark but love reading all the messages and thought i may as well post my own!

Been in Germany now for just three months, pretty tricky adapting to the old lingo and different way of life but we are getting there slowly but surely. Is there anyone else out there who is in Germany? Do you like it? We think it is ok but the estate we are living on is not nice at all! It is pretty depressing! Finding work is really tricky too, very limited, when we first arrived there was just one job for the whole of our area! Now there are a few more but really not a lot of choice!

anyway would be interested to hear from anyone.......

    Re: New in Germany

    Hello hunneypie,
I am not in Germany but I thought I'd say hello anyway.

A few of my friends have just moved out to there, the paderborn area to be precise. Germany is meant to be a good place to be posted, I wouldn't know-never been, but lots of people I know want to go back there. Perhaps its the beer festivals and Scooter they miss?

Hope things pick up for you soon.

Hello and welcome to RP, you might find some useful stuff in the Germany section of the forum - and If you can't find it feel free to ask away - no question is stupid and I'll try my best to answer your questions!

    Re: New in Germany

    Hi there,

I just want to say 'Hi' and introduce myself finally. I've been reading in this forum for quite a while and was always too shy to join, but now I just did it. I hope you guys don't mind my English as I'm German. I promise to try my very best.. Please don't hesitate to correct me.
And concerning this thread, if anyone of you needs help in our strange country, just let me know, I would be glad to help if I can.

    Greetings from Germany
    Julia

Wow, that's a long time, Soots. I hope Germany was treating you well .. And where in England will you be moving to?

I still have to get used to all these strange abbreviations, it's the same with my bf. By now he loves to use them just to see my bewildered face... Fally - another new one, have to keep it in mind.
