Thread: hereford

Hi

really appreciative of any info anyone can offer as I am in a dilemma re deciding to accompany husband when he starts his hereford posting.

have done 'the patch' in the past (colchester) and really hated it - for various reasons but the two main ones were the horrible depressing quarters and the fact that i had zero decent career options.

we're now living apart during the week (me in London) which works out well in some respects as i'm near a great job/friends/family (London is also my home town) but its rubbish in terms of how much we;re missing being a family (we also have a 3 year old son).

so the questions of moving back to the patch rears its head and I was hoping someone could give me an insight into hereford life, specifically



-state of the quarters (officers quarters if anyone happens to know but anything anyone can tell me really)
-patch life in general
-hereford itself (i know it will be a culture shock to move from London but any info still useful)

So so so grateful for any help

Some handy info here - you'll find that due to security reasons, detailed information on Hereford quarters is not allowed to be put on the internet (MoD rules) but there are contacts in Patch Pedia for this.

If you find anything out - please please please add (dead easy) it to Patch Pedia (as long as it doesn't contravene the above). We do need this populated!

No, I moved it into the HIC area which covers Hereford but it seems someone made a mistake on PP and it said HIC 1

I shall move accordingly...
