    A Modern Military Mother

    A Modern Military Mother

I have started this as I was advised by some mummy bloggers in the blogosphere. Two of the posts some of you may recognise as I have posted them on here before under a different user name. There is a reason for a new user name because this blog will be dedicated only to how I cope be married to the MOD and my other blog will be for my random rantings.

My husband is beginning his work up back to ops. I won't reveal timings or specifics but it's more about how we cope with the day-to-day life.

But it isn't just about me - and I welcome your feedback, your thoughts, your coping mechanisms and if you would like to guest post you are more than welcome so please PM me.

This blog is dedicated to all partners, like myself who are married/attached to the military, and often are raising their kids alone – attached/married, single celibate.

Copied from blogs (original entry) - post comments here.

The ads on this page are making me smile. One for Premier Surrogate Agency (because we don't have the blokes around to facilitate procreation presumably), another for Yummy Mummy's dating agency and my personal favourite mysinglefriend.com whose byline is 'get out more'. Yep, they really know how to rub salt into the wounds!!

Sad isn't it, this has actually made me a little wet in the old eye sockets.

I don't think there's anything that can prepare you for the 'off' and we all cope in our own ways, but I think, if you can, capture the humour of life as it goes by while balancing it with the harsh reality then it'll be something we can point to and, hand on heart say, 'this is our life.'

    Best of Luck,
