Just looking for information on good vets, walks, pet sitting services/kennels/catteries that are recommended in the Aldershot area - to put on Patch Pedia

Also - anyone got a good picture of Aldershot? Maps are all fair and well but some nice photos would be a treat

Dam - we've been looking for kennels for our smelly mongrel and l thought we were going to get a recommendation!

A local pet shop recommended a kennesl in Pirbright to us but they were fully booked and to be honest when OH asked if they could name any others they told us to look in yellow pages!

Also if there are any decent dog groomers that would be of help too - we have a yeti of a dog living with us at the minute!

Longcross Kennels (near Chobham) has a great reputation. I haven't used them but live in the area and have heard people speak highly of them.
We had a heck of a time finding a dog sitter and ours doesn't cover Aldershot, so sorry to be useless on that front!
If anybody in Surrey/Hampshire is stuck for someone to look after Fido whilst they're away I am at home for the next month and we're always happy to have a pooch or two to stay - our two enjoy having someone different to play with and we are BIG dog lovers. The only caveat is that if your dog is smaller than a spaniel our normally docile Greyhound can mistake it for lunch!

E_A is it possible to get a good picture of Aldershot??

If so what sort of pictures do you want and next time I head over there for work type stuff I'll see if I can get any - will be of the town rather than the mil stuff though.

ETA, Sounds like I'm in a similar area to Heli, but am willing to help out with dog walking during the day, although can't offer to look after them as I'm lodging rather than living in my own place - will however ask my landlady if she knows of any kennels in the area.

Im really loving our move to Aldershot - but not because of the town itself!! Pictures of the town centre would be enough to scare anyone off!!

We're (that should read l'm!) not off anywhere anytime soon so dont really need kennels but it will be something we will require before the year is out!

Well see, there you go. Maybe we're better off sticking to a map of Aldershot and the road out of it then?

Thanks for asking, Scubes - and Heli - that's a great offer.

There used to be good kennels at Frensham, don't know if thats too far away? Also if you are after groomers take a look at dialadogwash, they come to your house in a special van and sort your pooch out

I have been using them down in Portsmouth for about 5yrs and can't fault them, they are franchised so you should be able to find one that covers your area!

There's a few pet sitting companies that have popped up in our patch, which isn't a million miles away. I'll collate some web addresses.

I can personnaly highly recommend Bowenhurst Kennels, Nr Odiham.

The manager runs a very tight ship and I am very happy with the care that our Weimaraner has had any time that we have had to use them.
