    Hi and welcome

I don't think anyone can answer that for you, moving to follow your husband, or staying where you are and having a weekend relationship isn't something that others can answer for you, I'd say there were benefits to both options and you'll find people on here that have followed both paths.

Not much help, but there are so many variables that there is no single correct answer to this question.

Anyway, newbies open the bar, but I've got a lot on today, so mines a tea please.

Due to the time I'll have a nato standard please. When the bar opens it's a Whisky please.

As the Fiesty One says you can't really ask us to tell you what to do, only you can decide.

Tell me, what do you think you want to do?

    Home in last.
There are too many variables for anyone but you to know the answer to this.

    What is your husband's opinion?
Do you have a great job which you want to keep?
    Is it transferable?
    Are your skills transferable?
Is your child settled at school/Nursery?
Do you have supportive friends and family where you are?
Do you live close enough for him to be able to commute back & forth relatively easily?
Are you happy to live apart?
Are you paying a substantial mortgage/rent - thereby making SFA a cheaper option?
Could you rent your house out?
When is your husband likely to be posted? Would making the move then be easier/better?

You need a pros and cons list!

I'll have a NATO standard too please.

Dare I say somewhere that feels a little bit like home already
Heli's covered it pretty well but also worth bearing in mind how long his posting is and if you're willing to go through this emotional roller coaster again in 2/3 years when the powers that be say its time to go again.

You and your husband are the only people who can decide what's going to work best for your family though.

Ill have a shot of something very strong, it's a rough day!
