    Hello Missfish,
I lived in Portsmouth for 3 years. It's like most cities - some good areas, some a bit dodge. Unfortunately I have no idea about the Paulsgrove area (I was a student when I lived there so I basically hung around the town centre being naughty). Are you able to visit before the move? It might be good preparation, whether you like it or not!
PS. Gunwharf Quays is great for shopping!
    xx

Hi Missfish, I live in Portsmouth and have done for 14 years, not MQs as we have our own house on the eastern side of Portsea island. I have to say that I love it here. Paulsgrove isn't somewhere I would choose to buy a house in, but this doesn't mean to say that all of that area is awful, especially if it is in an area of MQs, chances are that you will have a community of like-minded people in a similar situation!

If you have no choice as to where to live why not just come along and see what its like rather than worrying about it and working yourself up into what might be an unnecessary panic!?
