    Ugg Boots

My very generous hubby has said I can have a pair of Ugg Boots for Christmas - now I just need to decide which ones, torn between these two. Anyone got them and any preferences?

    No no no no no!!!!

Ugg is short for UGLY!! They are hideous things and should all be burned in a furnace, then the ashes force-fed to chavs.

^ is just my personal opinion, not the opinion of the MoD as a whole.

    Other ugly boots are available.

I have to go with Legs and Welsh on this one, the knitted are the lesser of two evils, but I have never seen the appeal to be honest!

you wont be dissappointed they are sooo comfy and warm, maybe not the sexist boot in the world but once you buy one pair you will be hooked. I have both the cardi and classic and a few others, classics are best for comfort and always buy a size smaller.

Ok ok I didn't ask whether people actually liked uggs or not, was just after advice on which to get. I like both of them, and will be getting a pair just didn't know which!

I love the look of the knitted ones but they are not nearly as comfy as the classic, although i made the mistake of not ordering a size smaller (my first uggs) best thing about both is mine still look new even after wearing daily for the last year or so, it's the fakes that go baggy and slope. The bailey style are also very nice and comfy. Hoping santa brings me the tall classics this year, it will make me a very happy girly!!

Out of the two I prefer the classic ones. Although Uggs aren't my cup of tea as boot's wise I tend to wear boots with a heel (cos I feel like a stump in flats) my friend has a pair of the classic ones in the darker brown colour and they always look really good on her- she's had them AGES and they haven't shown any signs of wear or that slouchy thing that the cheaper varieties do.

I saw a woman at school with the boots below on though and they looked REALLY nice

Bootifull, I'd never seen them before until the other day as like I said I don't really do flats unless its trainers and they really do look so cool.

I wanted to get myself a pair of Chuggs (Essex for Cheap Uggs) and draw elephant toes on them so they would look like those old fashioned umbrella holders shaped like elephant feet. Just the thought of doing it makes me chortle out loud.

go for the classics, and defiantly a size smaller, stops the baggy thing going on !!!

I dunno if it's just where I live but the knitted ones are quite "chavvy"

I wouldn't buy again purely cos they arent practical for me with the weather up here, I ruined mine in the rain/snow !! lovely shoes though !!

If Uggs hadn't been banned by OH I would be having a pair of the classic cardy ones in black. I've tried to talk him round (I'm pregnant, they're comfy, I can wear them with leggings and your hoodies so we'll save a fortune in maternity clothes) but no joy. He says they're too expensive and he hates them anyway!

I think all the chavs wearing them with pyjamas in the school playground has put him off. They obviously can afford them cos they don't buy any actual clothes.

Please don't wear them with pyjamas!

But I would go for the cardy ones for the versatility factor (fold up or fold down). And as long as you don't wear 'em in the snow they do last for ages.

The Classics are much nicer I think. My husband surprisingly bought me a pair, he is usually a heels man but amazingly he appoves. Just as well cos I'd be wearing them either way cos they are sooooo comfy

Have a look at the Celtic Sheepskin site. They are far better quality and are in fact the original uggs. Deckers bought the "ugg" name from the company.

thanks guys - Boots I've already got a pair similar to the Kensington that I love. A year ago I hated uggs, but tried my sisters and they're so comfy so now I want a pair.
Certainly won't be wearing them with my PJ's!!! I'm not allowed to step outside the house in my PJ's!

Thanks Dizzy I'll have a look at those
