Baby sons godfather is yet to receive any of the parcels we've sent, we've sent 5 sofar thankfully they are just full of daft home comforts.

He has his glasses.
He hasn't had his prescription issue safety specs as yet.
He was.....wasn't........was............wasn't going, then it was only going to be for 2 weeks training, now its the full monty tour. So he is almost out of lenses, and god knows wots happened to his army issue safety specs.

So in the meantime, he is stuck at base (which suits us) and getting bored, and itching to get out and about. :-|

I have no idea how the parcels work. My OH rang yesterday to say the parcel I posted 6 weeks ago had turned up with parcels I posted last week and couple of weeks ago I posted 2 parcels together, one took 4 days to get there, the other arrive a week later.
Most of the stuff gets through in a week or so, but it might start to take longer soon with all the Christmas stuff going out.

Likewise ^^^ I'm sure there is a postal fairy at the moment. The OH hadn't had anything til last week and then everything came at one, including a parcel that I sent just one week before and he's not even based at a camp. I was so shocked! It was his advent box too so he has to sit and look at it til 1st Dec! I gave it a whole month to get there because they don't get post too frequently. Christmas box is going out by the end of next week to be on the safe side.

Have a look on play.com for stocking fillers, my man has a hammock, ball scratcher, and christmas glasses going his way, and some other nice stocking fillers. Just nice face stuff and posh nuts. Just little bits to wrap that he can enjoy.

Bop it is also going out for the base so hopefully they'll get lots of enjoyment out of that!

Sent out 1 box last Monday, with contact lenses and PSP and a few other goodies.................Thursday, posted another with just sweets/Toiletries.......BOTH arrived yesterday.

Now he has his contact lenses...............he is being sent to a FOB somewhere (he couldn't pronounce it) TODAY!!!!!

He is raring to go, we are stuck back here with our bums twitching.
