    Help Phone issue thing

    Hello,

So my sis told me today my phone is rubbish and I should get a new one. I am on PAYG at the moment because I think its actually cheaper than a contract. I was thinking I would do that tesco voucher exchange thing so could probably go to about £100 but any more than that would feel like a waste for a phone.

Ideally I would like one I can browse online on or has the cool google map thing that mooms has! I was looking at a htc Smart but can't find much on how good it is online and what I have found is techy jargon.

Any ideas peeps? oh and im on o2 so would ideally be on that or unlocked.

Sony Xperia mini is a good phone, although you'd be looking at paying £120-£130 from 02, just for the phone, good deal though! Sony xperia is on for £100, which is a good phone too and can do all that jazz you want and more. Both PAYG phones.

just slightly off topic dizz,is your OH on o2 as well,if not get him on it and go for the family bolt on, we use it for all 5 of us and its saved us a bomb, costs about £7.50 a month and all calls and texts between our phones are free, also when you top up do you get the 10% back every couple of months ? did you know you can save that up ? might be worth saving a little towards a new phone

Hey Sarah yes Mr Diz is o2 also- when he tops up he gets free calls and texts to o2 but we normally skype anyways. That is my main reason for not going contract. I had a vodaphone when he was in Germany because it was soooooooooo much cheaper to call on that. Now o2 is cheapest but after the next move who knows?

Bit late I know...o2 do international favourites now, its on contract and pay and go, £10 per month for 3000 mins to international landlines and selected countries mobiles too. plus 1 call me number for a person abroad to call you at a local rate. Check website for more details.
HTC smart is good little phone, you might want to look at one with Android as its a google product you usually get google maps, Sony Xperia X8, Samsung galaxy europa , LG optimus all spring to mind.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but today my phone officially passed away. This is a BAD TIME!! Mr D called and I couldn't hear him because it is busted! So as a matter of urgency I require a new mobular. I have no idea about phones!

I still loves the o2 as they give me lots of good value (well I think they do I have never looked elsewhere) but their phones are SOOOO much more expensive!

I really need something with internet that is good value. I am thinking HTC wildfire but getting it then getting it unlocked? what do people think?

For my sins I manage a phone shop.

HTC wildfire S is a really good phone, HTC so far seem to have good build quality too.

Couple of things that might help see if your phone us worth anything for recycling and also if you have opted in to loyalty scheme run by your network.

PM me if you want any more details. Happy to help.

I think if you're looking for a smartphone then I would consider a contract. I don't know how much you pay on payg now but there are some really cheap deals.

As for the phone, go to gsm arena website- they usually have really good reviews on phones

Its a bit more pricey if you dont get it on contract but I've got a Samsung galaxy S. I love it and you can download skype on it, very useful when the OH is away. And they have come down in price as they've brought out the Galaxy S2

I have the Galaxy S on O2 contract and have to say it is a fantastic phone, I would go as far to say that it's better as an all rounder than the iPhone!

It came free on an O2 contract and the Galaxy S2 is about £40 on an O2 contract.

Sluice- he doesn't have that yet! Hopefully at some point this week, maybe! Hence the need for a phone or its back to pigeons to ask what colour he wants the living room!
