Thread: Help Phone issue thing

I know it's too late for you but Vodafone do a forces discount too - and as Mr S discovered when he got his new itoy I could get a contract too, as well as being able to 'pause' the contract when he's deployed.

But on a slightly OT note why on earth are you bothered by letting him choose colours paintballs are usually multicoloured and random

I am only letting him think he is picking the colours so its more of a shock when he comes home and finds us passed out from all the cider covered in paintball splodges and the house is all artistic like

HELP!!! this silly smarthphone thing is connected to the internet ALL the time!! This is costing me a fortune!! I have turned the internet off in the settings but it is still connected!?! HELP!?

Usually if the Internet is switched off on htcs it won't connect. Have you got a little box with a G or a E or a H in it. Also is it connected to wi fi?

I have an E and two arrows (but I think I have also had a G?) What is it doing!?! my poor credit!!

Ah the E and arrows mean Internet is connected. When the arrows move they are downloading. The E is for EDGE which is just the type of data connection you have. Don't get bogged down with what they mean.

Go into settings
Go into Wireless and networks
Go into mobile networks
Make sure the Enable always-on mobile data box has no tick in it.
Go back
Make sure the mobile network box has no tick in it.
Go back and hopefully no box will be at the top.

This will mean no Internet connection over mobile network. You will have to switch it on if you want to look at anything, then turn off when your done.

I had done that and it was still coming up!? I've restarted the phone and checked the settings again and it seems to be ok now.
