I'm tempted by a Kindle, how good are the covers with lights? I'd like to read it in bed, whilst mr s sleeps, so lights would be off.
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
I like mine, currently mr scuba doesn't as it means he wont be getting a cuddle...but it doesn't disturb his getting to sleep once he stops grumping.
Heaven wont have me, hell is scared I'll take over. Time for the pub!

On the move this weekend. Not sure yet where I'm going or when I'll get there.....hope theres enough vodka in the car.

calibre - E-book management this lovely shiny website will let you download the software to take other formats and convert it to the Kindle ebook format - obviously it should only be used for the conversion of copyright free books like those found on the likes of Project Gutenberg - free ebooks online download for iPad, Kindle, Nook, Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, Sony Reader * there are other websites with similar content but the wine has destroyed the amoeba in my head so i cant remember them just now!

Got mine as a Valentines day present and I love it. Trying not to overload on books though or I won't read any of them! Need to get a light before OH gets back next month though! x

    *sighs happily again*

My love affair with my Kindle continues....if amazon and gutenburg don't give you enough freebies try Share Book Recommendations With Your Friends, Join Book Clubs, Answer Trivia

I may or may not have just downloaded another 20 or 30 freebies on to my Kindle - currently I have 353 books waiting to be read (one I can safely delete as its my OU textbook in pdf format and near unreadable on the Kindle thanks to the number of colour reliant diagrams).

That's why I love my iPad. I can read any type of e-book and e-magazine and see them in colour.

To be fair its the only thing it can't do adequately for my liking and the text book does have an awful lot of colour diagrams where most of my texts are literally all text with the colour provided by stuff on a media disc.
