Thread: Preston

Just looked on Patchpedia and there's no info. Anyone got any useful hints, tips local knowledge on Preston?

Have tweeted/twittered/twatted about it (never know the right verb and , frankly, don't care ) for you.

Cheers EA, just spoke to the HIVE about areas, but obv she could only tell me distances and surrounding amenities etc.

I'm sure ages ago someone was giving chapter and verse on Preston. I'm off to have a little hunt.

I have PM'd Scotlass, No idea if she still pops in on the site but it was worth a go I expect.

Done a search and can't find much tbh, maybe you'll have better luck than me Bodger.

I can find a link on the search but it doesn't actually work. It's really irritating me because I KNOW there's out one there!

Just a quick leap accross from RR as I noticed this post, If its a bit about life in Preston in general and what the area is like then I recommend a quick look at these sites. They were recommended to an Ex by her employer when she relocated there a few years back and she found them helpful.

As an aside, I always found Preston quite a nice place to be with a faily decent shopping area and an ok nightlife. Plenty of park area to visit with space for days out for families when the weather holds (it is the North after all :P ). its reasonable proximity to Liverpool and Manchester makes it possible to go there by train for the day shopping, sightseeing or running for your lives :P

Yes, and I cannot bloody wait. It has been soooooooooo long since I enjoyed the simple things in life like bread that doesn't require a long term loan, shopping on a Sunday, and being able to go into a sauna with my cossie on.

Yes, apparently we're off to Nottingham. The OH phoned them today and confirmed. So at this point in time, yes it's Notts, which is awesome for visiting family and friends in Buuuuuuurmingham.
