    MQ Portsmouth/Pics

    Hi everyone,

We are moving to Portsmouth soon and just wanted to know if anyone could shed some light on the MQ for Ratings. Please advise on where the best estates are. Does anyone have any pics or know where I can find any.

    Thanks

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa

There are some pics of the MQ at Eastney on PatchPedia. I know Southsea and surrounding area well if you end up there.

    Hi,

If you don't mind travelling, there's a small patch of about 20 quarters in Titchfield which are tri service.

It's really quiet there. 2 and 3 bedroom houses with large gardens.

Hi Buttermum dont know any other housing bar the ones in Hilsea, not been inside one though.
I am from Portsmouth originally so if you need a guiding hand at all just give me a yell I know the area inside out back to front.

Titchfield area is lovely too so if you can get one there would be worth it.

Hi personally I would avoid the ones up near Paulsgrove, but thats just from personal experience ....lots of road noise from M27 for a start!

We have SOOOOO got to do a Portsmouth area bash once everyone's settled in!!

Can't help with quarters (second-hand info that they're all bad! We have our own place as a result) but more than happy to help on traffic and travel news, shopping and days out advice

I totally agree about having a bash here in Pompey (everyone welcome if they are willing to travel!)

Don't do quaters either, but live in Baffins so am well placed to give general info!

I dont know much about qtr's in eastney my hubby once lived in lumsden road eastney is right on seafront so summer it's ideal area isn't too bad either.
You should be OK, Southampton is better for general shopping, although I do miss pompey (i'm now in colchester).
Asda in Fratton - personally would avoid, and travel to big one at Havant - up A27.
I hope everything goes well for you, the local radio's are good for travel alerts for the area M27/275 are a nightmare in rush hour traffic but you'll soon learn the area.
I love Portsmouth and miss it.
