    Posted to Colly

Could someone please advise me on the best places to out on preference sheet on 1132, as we are being posted to Colly (been confirmed today) hubby goes Monday...Argh well quick, but anyway...

I have heard the following are the best areas of MQ's..
    Fallowfield Road
    Alamein Road
and I think there was somewhere called St Michaels est?

what are chances of getting a really nice one, i'd hate to be close to a busy main road, i have 2 cats and would like to keep them too. not sqeeshed on road.

Hubby filling form out later and will hand it in 2moro so if I could please have a hand with the areas etc that would be fabby!!
    Thanks

    Kezz

I don't know Colchester and I'm hoping that someone who does will see your question today, but it does look as though the Colchester HIVE opens at 0830 tomorrow morning - they might be able to at least tell you which would be the most cat-friendly road.

    Will that be too late?

Sorry Kezz only just seen your post. i lived on Fallowfield Road a few years back and had a friend who lived on alamein. Both roads are part of the St Micheals estate and theres another smaller estate not too far off just off Layer Road. I personally would ask for St Micheals. It was 5 yrs ago that I lvied there but the standard of housing on St micheals was pretty good and my house on fallowfield road i loved. Its close to the spar (or londis or whatever they are now) and the musket club and the welfare building the st micheals estate has 2 schools on it and a good bus route servicing it. Its round the corner from layer road docs surgery.
Both estates are off the main roads so dont worry too much about the puddy cats unless they go off on a wander they should be fine.
I dont think you can request specific roads on the 1132 and there are only 2 estates in colly so its gonig to be a case of one or the other really. As i said though i;ve not lived there for 5 years so i dont know if any major changes have happened since.
Hope that helps you a little x

Cheers my lovely, I guess I shall have to wait and see what we get given to be honest and hope to god it isn't anything near a main road or my babies will have to become house cats once again.

aww thanks Special_Tree, I actually read through the booklet you sent me today, I have told him of the two roads so I guess it's just going to be a case of wait and see, he's going there Monday coming, hopefully he's back home tomorrow...wooohoo should be nice to see him finally for more than a day...but to be honest I don't care where we get given so long as were together i'll be happy.

Thanks for your help in this though...i'm really looking forward to the move it'l be a 1st for me as the wife and not the kid.
    xx
