    Re: UIN Number.....

A UIN number is unique number given to each and every unit in the forces. It usually starts with an A and then a 4 digit number and then ends in an A (some do differ with different letters ie B or D). the UIN is mainly for budgeting/accounts/Qm's ordering. Your OH rear party welfare office should know their UIN and can help you.

If he's still got a copy of his assignment/posting order, then it's on there.

Not any more it's not. The new style JPA Assignment Orders are not that helpful.

You probably know this already but thought I'd pass it on just in case!

    Re: UIN Number.....

It's married or single on his case it will be married (as you will be getting married prior to move in). Just one thing, are you sending it back to the Housing people or to his unit to have an officer sign it first? Housing will send it back if it has not been stamped and signed by an officer (or WO depending on their job)
They said it could'nt be done, so I did'nt do it

    Re: UIN Number.....

Ah see that bit confused me too!!
As it says to be completed by the divisional/unit admin/families/PSF officer at WO level or above...so i just assumed that would mean them at the housing.....OMG these forms are sooo hard!!
So who woudl i send it too? Bloody hell, think its going to have to wait till OH is back but then its cutting it fine for housing as it will be 1 1/2 months till the wedding........

I know it sounds silly but its really stressing me out!!

    Re: UIN Number.....

You will need to send it too the Welfare Dept at your OH's unit. I have just been checking about (in Welfare dept here) and OH needs to sign it too, you cant do it on his behalf. If you can send the form to your OH and ask him to sign then ask him to get an officer where he is to sign it and send back that will probably be the best thing to do.

I had a lad up here last week who is getting married at the end of the month and that was him just applying for the quarter then so one and a half months is nothing. To be honest, with the current housing situation you prob wont get an address right away.

just to pre warn you, we applied for our first quarter in the April (we were getting married in Sept) and we never got offered anything until 3 days before the wedding! On the other hand, my hubby's ex wife recently got remarried and she applied in June and was offered something right away (in tidworth) but the only problem was they could'nt move in until 2 weeks after the wedding.

    Re: UIN Number.....

Thats what il do then send it to him there and get him to sign it along with an officer.

It seems like its very variable as to how quick you get a MQ, which i guess is one of the things stressing me out. Things aren't good were i am now and really want to get out! So guess its making me more anxious!!

Thank you so much for your advice susiesoo
