Thread: RNCOM website down?

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have just recieved my initial letter from HMS Raleigh with all the info about Passing out parade and stuff for families etc etc.

They give you the RNCOM website details and I was just about to have a look at it and it said it is down at the moment. Anyone else having problems, and if anyone has used it previously is it good and what is it all about??

Its all been moved to the main RN website but true to form they probably won't update the leaflets they send out for another year or so :-) Can't remember the exact site address but Google Royal Navy and you'll get there.

I've not used it yet cos I found this place but apparently it's good for meeting other wives once your OH gets a ship/boat.

I used it a couple of years ago when hubby's ship was away. That's the best time to use it really,mwhen the ship is away for a weeks of training or on deployment. They're a good bunch, and because they're part of the MOD machinery they can get responses to general enquiries. They are - rightly - obsessed with OPSEC. I found they were a great set of folks and it's good to have a forum with other relatives from the same ship.

Update: as of 1753 on 8 Feb the whole RN site seems to be down for maintenance.
