You have an exact deployment date already?? My OH deploys next month but we still don't know what date only when his 48 hours notice starts.
    Is it wine time yet?

Miss P - try not to countdown the days 'to go' before he goes - enjoy them instead and don't focus on the 'D-Day' (maybe that's wrong advice but there you go!)x

He is on Rotation, no 48hrs notice, so that is the 'pencilled' in date, however, from experience i know that it will change, but gives us a date to work things by, however, I wish he was going sooner, the sooner he goes, the sooner he comes home and I have less time to worry about things!

thank you Angharad, I know, i shouldn't, it just always seems the first thing i think of when I wake up with him and the last thing when we go to sleep..... it is easier said that done! but I agree, make the most of it whilst he is here! (I have a day counter by my desk at work, so it is easy to work things out too!) x

Miss P - I know where you are coming from as I thought the same - you wake up and think '"I only have x days left" it's hard not to be like that. He will soon be back though - towards the end of the counting I just wanted him gone so I could start the countdown home!x

It is so lovely to hear the count downs and the 12 days left etc, makes it seem possible and realistic, plus that feeling must outweigh any other negative, sad hopeless feelings that you have had before, I think it will be scary how quickly it goes, already in Feb and only seems that it was Christmas last week! 12 days, is that when you have to start thinking about 'hair maintenance' cleaning the house fully, hiding all the sad cd's and dusting off the special undies???!!!! xxx

We must all think like that .. ha ha. Although the last time my hubby went away for any substantial period of time I was pregnant, so when he got back I only had 2 months to go! Last thing I was worried about was sexy undies .. lmao
