A couple of members have been asking in chat and msn for information on various things relating to Army Service and how it affects them as army wives.
In most cases we have been able to find the info (or at least a start point) in the Army’s public sites with these two pages proving most useful:
http://www.army.mod.uk/servingsoldier/index.htm (“Welcome to the area of the website that has been primarily designed to be useful for soldiers and officers who are currently serving in the British Army.â€)
http://www.army.mod.uk/soldierwelfare/index.htm (“Welcome to the area of the website that has been primarily designed to be useful for soldiers and their families who are currently serving in the British Army.â€)
I particularly like the one above as it gives links to the people you really should be talking to if you have problems. Obviously the vast majority of site members are delighted to help where we can and do try to make sure we are stating fact rather than what we think should happen in a perfect world but anything above the level of “just interested†and you really need to talk to a subject matter expert in their “official†capacity.
Dependent on status it is also possible that you could register for your own “guest†account on ArmyNET
