Please Read do you have an issue with spelling/punctuation

There seems to be a 'rash' of members who feel they have a right to correct the punctuation, grammar and spelling of new members.......

Here's a tip for the future....

If you have a problem with a particular members posts DO NOT read them.

We all know there are some of the members who are highly educated, others, like me, struggle to spell and use a spell check at all times.

If you can't ignore it, PM a mod.

Public humiliation is not on, and will not be tolerated.

I am not a happy bunny over having to PM members with this warning.

Alternatively, download firefox from http://www.firefox.com and then install the English dictionary from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3

and it will underline any typos as you type them.

Beebs; serious question, not a wah.

What about the use of text speak/chav speak?

Most of us understand that writing ability varies from one person to the next, but the above really do make my eyes bleed.

Added that I never comment on here about other members' use of the English language, except perhaps to make light of posts that are open to differing interpretations. On ARRSE however, it's very different depending on the forum in question. ARRSE is another country, they do things different there...

But of course you're right. This is a supportive web site and new members should not feel as though they're under attack. Gentle guidance perhaps?

Edited once for banana-fingered typing. And again for clarity.
And with that he picked up the bloody old towser by the neck and, by Jesus, he near throttled him.

Given a choice Jim I'll PM the poster and ASK them not to use Text Talk, and all I can do is thank you for NOT commenting on the threads alienation of new members due to their spelling and or grammar isn't on.
