OK - I know that most people's OHs have been away for a long time and so I don't have anything to moan about and also that when my boyf deploys in a bit I'll be moaning a lot more. But: he's doing pre-deployment training atm, we were going to spend from Sun afternoon til Monday morning together and his OC's decided no-one gets to leave the camp after 22:30 on Sunday. So I'm pretty pissed off. Like I say, I know it's part of the package etc etc and that it's nothing in comparison, but I'd been looking forward to it and now I'm a bit gutted. I guess it's also starting to sink in that this is real now - that this is what he's going to be doing for the next 10 months. A lot easier to deal with when he was just unoperationalized (if that;s the word?) TA. Moan over.

Re: Need a place to moan but don't need a reply? Fill y

Ok this is a delayed moan. I am now just over a month from having my man home again and as much as I love that idea it is still bugging me that I didn't get to see hi before he left.

He came down the end of the week before for a few days and was due out on the thursday after so was going to see his dad on the monday and come to have dinner with me on the tuesday. So monday night I get a text message, yes a frigging TEXT message to tell me that he can't come down cos he's not happy that he's packed everything. He's really sorry but I don't get to see him before he goes!!!!!!

So what do I do? I tell him its ok I don't mind, he needs to sort out everything for his tour (whilst actually crying and moaning that its bad enough I don't get to see him for anything up to 6 months but now I don't even get to see him before he frigging leaves!!!)

But hey I guess I should just be glad he's coming back soon eh? Will now be quiet.

OK, My moan is about my fat nosey neighbour!!

She comes round to see what i am up to, has a go at me about the state of my house, too much laid around on the work tops, look at the size of your ironing pile, when was the last time you hoovered ? - excuse me fatty i work a 40 hour week whereas you just sit on your fat arse all day at home whilst your husband goes out to work.

My daughter also keeps my occupied as does the little jobs in the garden like cutting the grass, and hedges etc - so pardon me if the house is a little untidy!!

She does bot all - her husband comes home from work and makes the tea, i see him hanging out the washing, he washes both of the cars on a weekend, he does the food shopping, he cuts the grass and weeds the garden.

She makes comment if any parcels are delivered to her house, what have you been ordering now, does he know you are spending all his money whilst he is in Bosnia? Blah Blah blah

I want to smash her fat f***ing face in - only our girls play together, and i get on well with the husband and he helps me with the little jobs i struggle with whilst my man is in Bosnia (the loft!! i hate getting in that loft!)

    There i feel better now

I need to sound off about my parents.

I left uni at christmas and since then theyve been constantly on my back about getting a new job and moving back to my home town (Bolton- i escaped to Stirling why would i go back?????).

Ok my mum has backed off a bit since i told her about the man, but my dad is still a bloody nightmare, currently hes calling me twice a day nagging, emailling and posting job ads to me (all of which are in Bolton or Manchester) then demanding i let im know when ive applied for them. He also knows about the man but unlike my mum who understands that if i want to see him i kinda need to be in Scotland to get the most out of his leave my dad has decided that

'hes only a soldier, you can get another boyfriend when you come back, or he can just come here to see you, not like he'll be around often'

Now is it just me or is that for one totally unfair, hes never met my man and 2 its disrespectful to me as an adult who is able to decide for herself where she lives and who she sees?
This is all coming from a man whos own parents tried to push him in to doing things he didnt want to do like going to uni (as a result his job is one that a friend of mine got after she graduated hes been in the company nearly 30 years!), and his parents were totally anti my mum as she was too wild for their middle class boring lifestyle (they were married for 20 years, surely he realised that parents cant choose your partner after that).
Plus since the divorce my parents dont get on and whether they realise it or not both call me to bitch about the other, i know if i go back ill have to live with my dad and that feels like taking sides. Oh yeah did i mention my warring parents live next door to each other (my mum got together with our neighbour and now lives with him and my nan- i like her bf hes always been friendly and has taken to the idea of a family remarkably well for a man who in his mid 50s has never had anyone live with him since he was at college) which makes even brief trips difficult as i have to divide my time equally or upset one of them.

Arghhhh im the first to admit that i need a new job as working in a nightclub isnt a realistic career plan, but equally where else would i be a trainee assistant manager at 21 with no qualifications or even intent to go beyond barmaid (my promotions have been sort of accidental and not been sought). And i am looking for jobs but its not easy to get one when you have nothing beyond A levels done 3 years ago, and no exprerience in a work other than barwork or waitressing. But while im making enough to live i dont want to move back it would be giving up my independence.
Heaven wont have me, hell is scared I'll take over. Time for the pub!

On the move this weekend. Not sure yet where I'm going or when I'll get there.....hope theres enough vodka in the car.

Ha! Wait till you're 42 and you stay at your mother's for the night after dropping the kids off at their dad's and she tell you to turn the bedroom light off at 10.30 because you need your sleep!
And the following morning is banging the bathroom door down thinking you've drowned in the shower because you've been in there for more than 5 minutes!
And then goes off in a huff when you try to explain to her that you've brought up 3 kids on your own and managed to survive since the age of 19 (that's 23 years!!!) on your own!

Tact is for people who aren't witty enough to be sarcastic.

Dont even mention my mother to me, the woman is barking bloody mad!!
A few times i have stayed over at her place as she lives quite near to my workplace whereas i live 30 miles from it, so if i am on a split shift, i crash at hers...then lay in bed grinding my choppers!! Scenario...
Mam 'ello love, you look peaky, ive made you some tea
Bossy I aint hungry i ate at work
Mam 'You work too hard, time to slow down, how are the kids, hows Mr Bossy, how was work, have you had a busy day, how long was your shift today, any trouble, ooh did i tell you about old mrs Clegg 3 doors up, have you seen the price of rice in china, I was talkin to her next door today and she says blah blah, have you only just finished then, what time do you start tomorrow, i'm sure you can manage an sandwich, i've got some lovely ham, beef, roast pork, tuna, cheese, potted meat, salad, wont be a minute.
Bossy lights a fag and rolls her eyes at dad 'alright dad?'
    Dad 'Aye, you?
    Bossy nods
    Dad rustles newspaper
Mam 'there you go, a nice bit of ham salad, that will perk you up' while holding out a plate consisting of two doorsteps with enough filling to feed the entire street, a packet of crisps, a sausage roll and a cake bar.
Bossy, right i'm going to bed, night all
Mam 'righto, now theres shower gel and shampoo for the morning, i'll put you a clean towel out, have you got your toothbrush? theres a new spare one in the cupboard, have you got a nightdress? you can borrow one of my enormous flanelette ones that would go round the three of us if not ( she doesn't actually say that, but it would, trust me) have you a book to read, hang on i'll get you one off the bookcase, a good catherine cookson will get you off in no time ( no kidding mother!) i've put a new battery in the alarm clock, to set it just turn the knobs on the back, its quite loud so you should waken, i'll set mine anyway just in case, dont want you sleeping in, have you had enough to eat, i can make you another sandwich, what about tomorrow, shall i make you a packed lunch, do you take packed lunch, i've got some lovely ham, beef, roast pork, potted meat, cheese, tuna or salad, i'll make you some anyway, daft spending money on lunches when you can take something with you, i've put the lamp on ready for you, to turn it off theres a button on the base ok. Right, if were sorted i'll see you in the morning. Night night.
Bossy goes to bed and grinds choppers while tearing the Catherine Cookson novel to shreds.
WHY OH WHY do i do it? WHY? Why dont i just drive a 60 mile round trip? its way quicker than trying to escape my mothers ramblings.
    Bossybitch says......Problem?
