    Catterick Parents Day

Had a wonderful weekend seeing my son at Catterick on parents day, the sun shone , he looked so happy , he even forgot to get embarrassed in front of his mates and gave his mum a big hug. Already he has made some good mates and im a lot more relaxed now I know hes doing ok. So far so good !!

Dunners, glad you had a good weekend at parents day, stay strong for him cause he will have his wobbles! My Mum takes great pleasure of reminding me of the phone calls home in tear saying I hated it and wanted to go home while I was in basic training - thankfully see stayed positive for me and refused to drive the 300 and odd miles to collect me telling me to find a cardboard box and go and live in London (I did my training in Aldershot) and I'm almost due my pension. She also says that she would have known if I was genuinely unhappy, and had that have been the case she would have been in the car like a shot to collect me!

    Proud mum!

    hello everyone!
my son is doing his infantry training in catterick and hopefully in a few weeks we will be going up there to see him pass out, which we are extremely excited about. My question is does anyone now how many family members are aloud to go up there per family? as we need to know what transport is needed.
would really be gratefull if anyone could get in touch
    many thanks

Hello everyone, it's my first time of writing on here!! My son is also doing his infantry training at Catterick, he started on 29th May. Unfortunately he is 500 miles away from us so we just couldn't get to the Parent's Day on 1st july, so upset to miss it. My question is does anybody know if it was filmed? Who can i contact for a copy of D.V.D to purchase? Many thanks..x

Hello and welcome to both sashaleah and Bernie.
RM OH here so can't really help with the Catterick part or the parent part - but am sure those in the know will be along soon!
In the meantime pull up a chair at the bar and mine's a large white please!x
