Hi Hun
Sorry not checked in recently- poor excuse work and kids!!!
Welcome. My lad is based at Catterick with the QRL, he's an old hand with two tours of sandpit under his belt. I love it down there. You'll get loads of advice and support here. Also if you are on Facebook check out Armymums UK. It's a great support of support whatever age and stage your lad is, welcome to the HUGE family of service folks. x
Hi dunners, my son is also at Catterick doing infantry training but he joined later than yours on 29th May. He has just been home for the weekend after the Parent's day, he was so looking forward to returning to his "new best mates". The lads seem to have made firm friendships already.....such a relief for me! His Passing out Parade is in December, when is your son's?
my sons in Catterick now due to pass out end of September, its gone so quick to think at the start of his training i was thinking im ok for 6 months! his 18th birthday was yesterday and i was a bit upset as weve never spent a birthday apart, but he's loving every bit of his training, he rang last night to say theyd been told what happens after training its all going way too fast for me, and now seems too real, and to add to it my 21 yr old daughter starts her training at Pirbright september!
My wee lad just passed out from Catterick 2 weeks ago. Then had the driver training and passed his test. Now home for 3 weeks and eating us out of house and home.
Off to Paderborn in September............new challenges
Hi ya, I am an 'Army Mum'. My son is in 2 Royal Anglian - 4 1/2 yrs now. He did his infantry training at Catterick - seems like so long ago now - lol.
