Highlights in this edition include:
• Details of two key meetings NFF Chair recently attended. The first was held at 10 Downing Street, and involved a lively debate with MPs and the Prime Minster about the Armed Forces Covenant. The next day Kim met with the Minister for Defence Personnel Welfare and Veterans, to make the MOD aware of the impact their policies are having on families.
• NFF web poll: Why does the Families Continuous Attitude Survey have a low response rate? Please take a moment to compete our short poll.
• Free insulation (cavity wall and/or improved loft insulation) for designated Service Families Accommodation in England & Wales.
• Financial advice on high cost credit providers, such as payday loan companies.
• We meet with the Armed Forces Pay Review Body in October. Your views on the pay freeze, allowances, operational tempo and anything you feel strongly about would be welcome.
