Thread: It's not often that the news makes me feel sick to my stomach

but I read this this morning and instantly wanted to deliver some 'abuse' of my own to the parents:

Seriously, how could they?

How can no one notice a 9 year old dropping out of school and "disappearing", oh I hope they get a little payback when they head into prison.

Due to a very bad ase of PMT, i shall not be reading that article today, I don't think my hormones can take the overload.

How can any parent abuse their children, we're there to protect them, not hurt them

amazes me how a child can just dissappear and no one notices, not the school or neighbours or family members ? why did no one care about this little girl ?

I hate to say I am not suprised by these stories anymore. We have looked after mal nurished children- one who was "four days from death" a lot of the time the parents aren't prosecuted. Having seen the damage this kind of abuse does to children it breaks my heart that any person can subject an innocent child to this kind of life.

It is very easy for a child to "dissappear" like this- sometimes the parents will tell lies but a lot of the time people just don't want to get involved.
