Please don't turn this into a racist platform, but.......

....what's your take on the sentence handed out?

Does it seem equal to the crime?

The link title is automatic, frankly I could care less about their colour, what I docare about is the fact crime is not punishable.

Not used to alcohol? Too bad, drunk or sober you broke the law!

No matter what race and religion this type of violence should not go unpunished. Whether alcohol was involved or not, it should not be mitigation

if they were in a strict muslim country, the fact they were drinking and using foul language, would have been enough for jail time. It's rubbish they're not use to drinking, the average muslim pours it down their necks, like the rest of us, these days. There was nothing wrong with their mental ability, they were fully aware of what they were doing, it is highly likely to be premeditated.

They're British, they should be treated as such. Now the victim has to live everyday in the knowledge that these idiots are out on the streets.

So based on the reasoning that you can beat seven shades of shit out of someone as long as you are 'not used to alcohol' then does that mean that every 18 year old on their 1st night out can go and violently attack someone?

The youngest of the attackers was 24 and the eldest 28. We're not talking about idiot children here. And I refuse to accept that all four were so drunk that not one of them thought 'oh you know what this isn't right'. And based on my own experiences of alcohol, on the rare occasions i've been so drunk I don't know what i'm doing, I wouldn't have had the co-ordination to swing my legs out and connect with anyone without falling over so i also question the defence that it was because of the alcohol on those grounds.

The judicial system in this country is getting more and more ridiculous.

If they'd driven drunk and killed someone would the judge still have let them off because they weren't used to drinking! I can't for one second believe that it was their first foray into the land of the drunken dribble!

The judge seems to have been scared to be seen as racist by giving them the same sentence as he would have done if the situation was reversed. The sentence should never have been about the alcohol issue and should have been about the violence handed out. And to bring in that the girls felt that the boyfriend used 'excessive force' - course he did! They were kicking the shit out of his girlfriend!

Not being used to drinking is no excuse (even if I believed that for one second). A group of white girls who attacked a Somalian would not have been able to use that excuse even if it was 100% genuine.

    Stupid.

The video is shocking to watch- 3.19 is such a long time and the girls just kept going back for more. It makes me sick.

Had it been non muslim girls the press would have been all over the 'Binge drinking' generation headlines. It shouldn't be about Race or Religion- all these factors should be considered irrelevant in any case like this.

I don't really drink, I'm a total light weight so if I were to go out drinking I wouldn't be used to it...maybe I should go out on the Razz and go and attack the judge in this case, surely that would be OK too?

The thing that annoys me is they werent even charged for a race crime - which is exactly what this is, ignoring the fact that they beat the girl. They show no remorse which would indicate that drink played no part.

Were the roles reversed then white girls would be doing time. It is this level of inconsistency that I feel fuels racial tensions. Bang them all up no matter what their religion, colour of skin or culture. But the judicial system, along with others, are so scared of being called racist that it is easier to let people off than to prosecute.

The way it's worded (I know, not the way it might have been!) makes it sound like they were handed the suspended sentence because they felt like her boyfriend had used unreasonable force against them. They're freaking lucky, my hubby would have killed them if they'd attacked me like that in front of him! How can him defending his girlfriend when they were kicking her in the head justify their behaviour?! It was a race crime and it was ABH, and it should be sentenced as such.

I have to say that on reading this article, it does seem that they were let off for being Muslim, and therefore 'not used to drinking'. An absolutely flimsy excuse in anyone's eyes. Just looking at the facebook pictures of the heavily made up 'Muslim' girls should be indication enough that they are not your Allah worshipping kind, needless to say the fact that they were out in a group drinking would lead any person of sound mind come to the conclusion that these girls are no stranger to a can of Tennants Super!

However, there MUST be more than meets the eye with this case. I have absolutely no idea what, but I am astounded to believe that a judge could be so mind numbingly stupid as to be so lenient on such a viscous gang of wenches, regardless of race, colour, religion etc!
