i am just wondering what is the nearest barracks to wigan? as i have a friend up there i may be visting.
and i am just interested in the nearest barracks!

yer i tried that, and it didnt give me anything but i spoke to my friend n she said that its lichfield or telford

I'm a bit confused about Telford and Lichfield being handy barracks for Wigan! Telford is in Shropshire and Lichfield is in Staffordshire and it would take you quite a while to get to either of them from Wigan .......

Fulwood or Weeton in Preston are only Bks up that way. Maybe someone in Chester too. No one in Lichfield at the mo and its 2 1/2 hours away from Wigan and Telford is TA (as far as I know) and also a good couple of hours away.

Oo looks like my friend has force fed me innformation! Na it's a family friend n I wanted to see them as I not seen m in year n half - that's all; nothing like you probably are thinkiing, also I was guessing lichfield was closer to witan cause that's were my friend Was based when she was doing royal engineers but I just relised that's prob the barracks that did it for that area! I probs got well confused and na it's in the cards that my oh could be based there n I wanted to know how far Away I would be from a family friend

Precious, don't get snotty because you posted something on the internet that a) made very little sense in the first place and then b) complain that people ask questions.

Advice/information can only really be tailored to specifics, otherwise, it might be no use.

I wasn't actually and I am far from snooty I was just replying to a post and answered there questions that they asked me!! Sorry if you can't understand the way I type, just have to get use to it and I was typing in a rush as I was at work!
