    Gifts for the Other Half

You've sent him Blueys, you've sent him cards.
You've even made special parcels with bottles of shampoo, (or at least bottles that once contained shampoo,) and some of those interesting 'artistic' photographs of yourself, but all these things are transient.
How about giving a present that he'll be proud of & keep with him even in the field ?

    Take a squizz at 7-62.com
Those that have been on the mother site will probably be aware of BaldricksBullet, but for the Arrse virgins this will be news.

To paraphrase Baldrick in one of the episodes of Blackadder Goes Forth, "If the bullet that kills you has your name on it, it's best to own that bullet."

Chris, the owner of the firm, is a ex-squaddie and straight as a die. He can make a unique piece of jewelry for your OH or you - a bullet with your bloke's, and/or your name,) on it.

He also does nicely engraved Zippos, even if your bloke doesn't smoke he'll appreciate a lighter for use in the field, especially if it has his Regtl or Corps capbadge on it.

If your relationship is slightly different from most, click here.

It'll contain something he can put his... er... trust in.

    Hello ladies,

Here I am, skulking around... I sometimes feel like a peeping Tom... but not a very good one as I didn't see this post before putting in a kind of Valentines reminder... now I'm all ops:

Thanks for all the support. And I can't complain about Valentines (now that I'm on the other side of the fence), but don't you miss that simple old tradition with cards and a kiss... or am I being all fuddy?

I'm sure your OHs will be chuffed to NAAFI breaks... or in serious trubble!

    Best wishes,- Chris

    Hello B-B!

I have just found your website and am very much interested in buying my OH the dog tags and a bullet.

I was thinking of having the 2 RTR Logo on the case of the bullet but can't find it on your list.
Am I just blind or is it not there? It would be nice if you could get back to me and let me know how to get the logo to you if you haven't got it yet.

    Ta ta for now,
    Nicole

Ok, me again. I've just found the RTR Logo, it must be the same for 1 and 2 RTR.

Re: Gifts for the Other Half

I'm back again.... sorry I haven't been around in a while. I got a tip off that I'd been Stick'ied. And I'm honoured. So many many Thanks.

I've been spending time with the Canadians and (less with) the Yanks... and told them about your site... I don't know if any have come over for a peek.

NEWS THOUGH: I'm expanding 7-62 to have something for the ladies and kids so your OH's can send something home. It'll largely be silver jewellery and I hope to get some pendants, charms that can be engraved... perhaps even small medals for the unsung.- I don't know how that would go. If you want a sneaky-peek... see my Danish site (nearly finished)... www.soelvhalskaede.dk or sølvhalkæde.dk for you Firefoxers. (Same format as 7-62, the prices aren't up yet but silver necklaces go from £6 to £22.)

ANY COMMENTS OR IDEAS GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. I can even get my own designs cast in silver now.

    Best Regards,- Chris

    Chris,

My OH absolutely loved his zippo, can't stop showing people. Really inpressed with the detail of the engraving.

Awaiting the arrival of my bullet to give him before he goes on tour.

    Thanks for all your help!

Re: Gifts for the Other Half

Just posting to prove that I do pop up from time to time. And thanks Toni-bird (odd I thought you were from Canada and then your order popped up with a UK address.)

As for news... I'm opening a new site in Denmark on Monday... see my earlier post... silver necklaces... in Danish " sølvhalskæde " and hope soon to be offering the same stuff on the regular 7-62 site... more for the BFPO people than anyone else as the opportunity to save a wadge is already widely available in UK. The only other news is weddings. I leave that to your imagination.

Anyway... hope you're all well. Best Regards,- Chris

Oh, PS... how about something from him to you now:

I now sell Biagi in Denmark... do you think this is something you'd want me to flash the OHs on 7-62?
