And now for some good press

Just to balance out all the negative PR that woman has given military wives.....The Military Wives Choir have raised over half a million for SSAFA and The British Legion with the proceeds from Wherever You Are

    That's fab!

I wasn't keen on the military wives song tbh but it grew on me. Now I'm thinking I'd like to hear them sing some westend show tunes, memories, think they'd be good

I believe they're bringing an album out in March. Don't know any of the details as yet though.

    Excellent news!

Wasn't that keen on the song either though I bought the single in December to support them. As Jo says, the song does grow on you after a while, though

The album is going to be released on 5th March and will include: Make You Feel My Love, With Or Without You, On My Own, Fix You, Wherever You Are, Love Lifts Us Up and another new track written by Paul Mealor.

This one isn't for SSAFA or British Legion though proceeds will go towards a foundation set up to fund other military choirs around the UK.

I bought the single to support them but I used to sing the alternative lyrics instead as they made me giggle.

Oh my days! I best get out the mansized tissues! Perhaps we need to get working on some alternative lyrics for these...

Fair play to them though! Really good stuff!

Wherever you are, I wish I could get through,
... The dog is lost, the fish are dead,
What am I s’posed to do?

Wherever you are, I need to know your PIN,
The bank has called, won’t speak to me
“we have to speak to him”

Light up the darkness, oh, where are the bulbs
You’ve put them somewhere safe and sound,
But no one have you told,

Light up the darkness, oh, where are the keys?
I am locked out of the house
and I may need to call the police.

Wherever I am, I don’t know what to do,
The kids are ill, your mother’s phoned
And wants to speak to you.

Wherever I am, not sure what day it is,
The Sky wont’ work, I have to call,
But they’ll just say “its his”

Light up the darkness, night has come
But I still have to grab a coat and go and mow the lawn,
Light up the darkness, for all my sins,
I must change a fuse, fix countless things
And put out all the bins.

    1. I look in occasionally. I'm a Lollipop Lady so I'm rushed off my feet for 45 minutes twice a day. I keep abreast of the fun you all have
    2. I have observed that there is no Ammm any more to be in defence of. I thought it would be interesting to see who would be first with a catty remark if I posted. I predicted well.

Not nearly as predictable as you turning up when there's trouble afoot in the AMMM camp. What's up? Mumsnet all aquiver with hormonal indignation is it?

Wrong thread for this really. Apologies.
