Thread: Lessons in life....

Another forum I belong to has started a thread called "lessons in life" where people post things they've learned each day, so I thought it might be interesting to start one here.

Today I learned that giving the husband permission to use to the air rifle to remove seagulls from the garden is expensive, and as soon as the putty dries on the new shed window we'll seek alternative seagull removal options.

today I learned to keep my mouth shut ! after watching a programme about boating holdays i mentioned 'that looks nice' now hes planning a weekend of fishing with the family. ARGGGHHHHHH

what i have learned so far today is that 6+ mugs of tea in bed makes you wee a lot




and yes....i AM still in bed!!!

Today I have learned that the new suit (Jacket and trousers) I actually went out for just wasn't enough. I HAD to buy the matching skirt. Then I HAD to buy that maxi dress and that top and those shoes ......

Lesson well learned :lol:

White wine for breakfast gives me a headache (it was at lunchtime though!)

Dieting is all well and good but the all consuming need for caffiene and chocolate MUST be obeyed!

Just because it looks good on a mannequin doesn't mean it will look good on a real person, or even me!

Sometimes when the cash machine says "not available at the current time" it does not actually mean the machine is not working but the whole of Barclays Banking system has failed :cry:. Here in Essex, no one who banks with Barclays was able to access their money either by cashpoint or debit card!

Bit of bloody luck I had some cash left over from yesterday, isn't it.

Whilst cycling with OH was lovely and great listening to him reminise about his basic training - l need to remember there is never a cat in hells chance that l can compete or attempt to keep up with him - he has trained for years and years, whilst l have not and will never have his stamina. Hence today my legs are wrecked and l now understand the meaning of saddle sores....

If it's come out directly from a 200 degree oven, it's going to be too hot to touch/eat straight away.

Wine does not count as one of my five (fruit n veg) a day even though it is made from grapes (big shame there) ....and suprisingly neither do chips just because they happen to be made from potatoes.

Ah well, back to the diet drawing board! lol x

Eating cheesecake for breakfast is not big and clever, especially when you drop a bit of the base and the ants come running before you can get the cloth!

Today I learned that no matter how tightly you close your eyes when the weather comes on the telly it'll still rain!

I learnt that 7 cans of coke in one day the last one being at 11.35pm is going to lead to a severe lack of sleep!

Wearing heels, when on a day out is going to lead to extremely sore feet and blisters with no one to blame but oneself...

Today I learned that once the baby has decided he is getting up NO amount of distraction techniques are going to allow that extra hour in bed!

today i learned that leaving my 3,6,7 year old downstairs watching tv while i run for a 4 minute shower is a baaaaaaad idea, THE MESS!!!!!! AHHHHH

Today I have learned that no matter how much work you do and come into work feeling ill etc, it is never appreciated, so why bother busting a gut!!

Today, and everyday for that matter, I learnt that women moan for no apparent reason. Let them do so, it makes life easier.

today i learnt that giving the OH a bad time for coming to bed wankered, 4 hours after i did, clambering OVER me because he was too lazy/wankered/stupid to walk around the bed, collapsing in a fully dressed heap slap down the middle and then rolling himself up in the quilt...

results in hand delivered Thornton's chocs at work BONUS!! AND he's cooking me steak for tea
