Drink lots of water and scrub the muck off a couple of times a week with Apris (that's the sandy stuff that hurts like hell but makes your face feel like a baby's botty afterwards) Stop smoking and never, ever, ever go to sleep wearing your slap, stay away from alcohol, fatty foods, anything with sugar in it.....ah bugger...who wants clear skin anyway???

I'm sorry ladies - but are you suggesting ways to improve oneself - or tortures - in this thread?

Being the laxidazical person that i am, I find it hard to do the old cleanse, tone and moisturise bit.

But, I have now got into the routine of everytime I've had a shower or a bath, I at least put on some moisturiser.

As I'm such a sensitive soul, my skin can get a bit agrivated by creams or lotions being too rich. I am currently using,

    Neutrogena - Protective Day Cream

It's good as an all rounder as it has an SPF 15 and is for dry and senstive skin. There is also a night cream if you can remember to use it.

After spending so much time in an air-conditioned environment, if i don't remember to put it on, I turn into Mrs Flakeybake 2006.

Giv us a smile y'auld bugger!

I find that working full time, TA most weekends and then a boyfriend in another country doesnt leave much time for pa,pering - when I do have time its a quick visit down the parlour for an eyebrow and bikini wax and thats about it.

My mum has really good skin with few wrinkles and I've never really been spotty as a teenager so i'm hoping that i take after my mum in that department. Neither of us have ever used any beauty treatment or moisturisers etc although she went grey really young and ive been highlighting since a teenager.

Here's what i found for you on a google search, hope it is of use to you

Since a 3 year stint in BFG a few years ago I swear by all things Clinique. It was dirt cheap in the old Naafi max or the local PX, and I got well and truly hooked.

The major downside is that it you need a mortgage to afford it in Blighty. Doesn't stop me using it, I just tell Mr E_T that its an essential item! 8)

if things are getting really bad, most've the Harley Street Clinics have an interest free credit agreement that can be arranged!

Failing that I find that Lancaster Anti Wrinkle cream is most excellent and L'oreal true match foundation works a treat and actually does stay on allday - its not a bad price in supermarkets either.

Im not keen on the water and veg thing - so I opt for a bottle of fake tan to give me that sun kissed glow!
Start every day with a smile.... and get it over with

I have to agree with E_T .. has to be Clinique, I have very sensitive skin and especially if the BF don't shave

The Clinique website has a questionnaire for you to complete and then tells you what products are suitable for your skin type .. https://www.clinique.co.uk/wrfu/index.tmpl

As for expense .. well this is where our helpful site Ebay comes into use, I paid £18.00 for the moisturiser instead of £28.00 in the shops!

    Hope this helps

a wonderful make up / grime remover is neat baby oil on a cotton wool ball, also leaves your face lovely and soft. Simply wipe off afterwards as you would a cleanser.
Also good for the skin to help keep blenishes at bay, and to help banish them if they appear is the inside of a freshly peeled banana skin, rubbed liberally on, then rinsed off with tepid water...it really does work.

definately a go for it on the water drinking front... elizabeth ardens 8 hour cream on any spot and it goes over night, and NO sleeping in your make up, let your skin breathe!

clinique 3step is a must and such a life saver!! if you do happen to get an outbreak then clinique pen concealer is a godsend!! i swear by witch stick too it clears up spots overnight!! i say always go for high priced beauty products, however some people who are blessed with good skin don't really need too!

beauty tips, now lets see.........pick a mate who's slightly more visually challenged than yourself, makes you look better, BLUE mascara does not look good on anyone!, DO NOT sit 5 inches away from a heat lamp for 3 hours it WILL NOT give you a tan but it will give you a glow that you can read by 8O , no matter how good you think you are, you are not a hairdresser (unless you actually are), but practising on your girlsworld/dog/hubby/inlaws is fine oh and keep your lippy in fridge! lasts longer apparently( well it would if its in fridge cos you forget to take it with you) ..............!!
well handbags at the ready we're off! c'mon keep up..
