Discuss HELP NEEDED in The Lounge on Rear Party; Does the Military have any jurisdiction over civvies?
For example if the military were investigating something that wasn't military related could they interview civvies????

Does the Military have any jurisdiction over civvies?

Just had a quick chat with the OH, and as far as he knows, if the person in question is a dependent and overseas then they're subject to military law. If it was in the UK then it would be the MOD Police rather than the RMP who would be investigating an offence committed on Crown property. If it was an offence committed in civvy street then the civilian Police would be dealing with it and very rarely they would ask the MOD Police for help.
If whoever this is is concerned, then they should speak to a solicitor and find out what's what.
