    Juggling Balls

Well, as there has been a theme of "women" type cancers, i thought the lads would feel left out.

It is important for blokes to have a fiddle (well, more than they do usually) and check for lumps too.

I always used to check my partner for lumps and bumps. Purely for health reasons you understand

One day, as we were having a siesta one lazy day at the weekend, I did notice a lump that had not been there before. I duly nagged him to go and have it looked at which he dutifully did. Even if it was just to shut me up, at least he went.

It did turn out to be nothing to worry about but at least he went. If you boys don't want to grope about for lumps, let us do it for you. Maybe it could be a standing arrangement with your other half. The Boys can feel the boobs and the Gals can feel the bits.

Sounds like a good plan to me. But then again, i am quite rude sometimes ops:

    Re: Juggling Balls

Very important subject that many blokes are ashamed of.

If only they put as much into educating people about this this as they did into breast cancer then a lot more blokes would be more comfortable with it. Seeing that i am in the 20 - 29 age group I know that the risk is there. Hence why i check myself regular, Sometimes every day.

sometimes 4 or 5 times a day depending how bored i am

    Re: Juggling Balls

I am bumping this because I have just heard of a friend of a friend who has been diagnosed with testicular cancer and of another friend who does not check himself.

It brings home the importance of self - checks.

I am resurrecting this very old thread as a reminder and to let you all know that Mick Riley who runs www.checkemlads.com, who is a serving soldier in germany, has just been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List 2008 for his work on testicular cancer awareness.

    Hi there

I don't know whether its been instilled in him or he just enjoys feeling his knackers, but he does check every time he is in the shower or the bath. I've sat or stood and watched. He has even shown me how to do check it for him.....Hmmmm.

I however never ever check myself as regards my breasts I know I ought to and I know how to. This thread has made me sit up and think that I will. When he gets back we will do it together if you get my drift, but in a serious kind of way.

    He always checks me....alledgely

Damn how do you spell that word....aledgelly....aledgelly.....a ledge elly aarggh ..just doesn't look right)

Good on ya Liz for bumping this up
It is only about things that do not interest one that one can give a really unbiased opinion, which is not doubt the reason why an unbiased opinion is always absolutely valueless

    Re: Juggling Balls

I've always done a "sneaky check" on boyfriends past and husband present - fortunately for one ex I did too as he had a non-malignant lump but he didn't know about it. Shocking, really, cos he was a true w....er!

Never have I heard a man complain about his woman copping a feel for him - if he's reluctant, then women - DIY!

    Opinionated, Moi?

I always have a feel of hubby's family jewels.
He has a lump in the one that hangs lower, its the scar tissue from when he had our vascectomy in 1998.

Have explained to my 3 sons that they should regularly check themselves. They didn't need telling twice.

    From the BBC:

A laddish website for lads' disease

When Phil Morris got testicular cancer he was disappointed to find that there were no websites to give him the help he felt he needed.

He did not just want the facts, figures and symptoms of the disease but to be able to talk to others who had it.

He wanted a website that presented testicular cancer as a disease predominantly affecting young men, talking to them in a language they understood.

So, with the help of a number of pop legends, Phil set up his own website.

    Continued here.

Well done Phil and friends!
