My husband is posted to Dalton Barracks in December i am looking for info on the local area i have 3 kids 3, 6 and 11 and it would be nice to know people before i moved in

Hi. If you call 01235 543 588 the HIVE in Dalton Bks. They may well be able to give a heads up. I live in Bicester (not through choice. My wife is from here so we settled when I left the Army) and there is a designer shopping outlet here. You are by the A34 nad 20 mins north you hit the M40 and northbound roads, south you hit the M4 and London or the West or straight down Southhampton. Oxford isnt too far from you and if you have young kids there is a railway museum at Didcot which is just up from Abingdon. Hope this helps.

Bicester Village is fabby. The railway museum is good at Christmas, Thomas The Tank Engine and Father Christmas was always a winner with my two. That's it. That's all I know!

Thankyou i have had some info from Hive but spoke to a few peope that live at Dalton Barracks and the HIVE info is not up to date but i have heard that it is a great place with access to everywhere, unfortunatly had realy bad feedback on MQ so dreading going now
