Dating sites & ease of access

It seems like I have spent the last month, being the 'shoulder' to a few of my female friends. They seem to be under the illusion that them not being able to find a man in the old fashioned way (they never seemed to like my idea of drugging and dragging) is a no go, so they turned to internet dating. Seems like the site, POF, is the biggin' for them.

In total, 5 friends are on POF and have been meeting up with guys. All 5 seem to meet up and as soon as they put out the 'open all hours sign' they never hear from the dude again. This could be anywhere from the 1st to the 5th date. My advice was to sugerglue their legs together but that didn't go down well.

So is this an easier way for guys/dolls to go out and get their end away? Totally! But why lie about your intentions? Why are these guys giving it 'all that' and then hiding away like a toad? IMO, because it's easy pickings for them and non-confrontational.

Whatever happened to being upfront 'Yup, I'm going to sh@g your brains out and never call you'. Come on guys, be honest with your intentions, it will save me having to buy Panadol enmass

or here's a though, what about trying this...........................DON'T FCUK THE GUYS! *rolls eyes*

That made me laugh. I was on PoF for about 6 months before I met OH in the traditional way (at his sisters wedding) and it's just full of blokes who are quite blatant about only wanting a shag. Obviously your friends are just really unlucky and get the ones who pretend otherwise

That was what I was thinking.... but I was curious so went searching, I *think* it stands for Plenty of Fish but there's a POF.com so assume that's it....

Ah, if all you really want is a quickie then they're ideal, but for the real deal I think the more reputable sites like Match.com are the way forward......

I have a couple f friends who've meet men that way, in fact I'm off to one of their weddings this May!

But we're older, so looking to settle down is a two sided deal!

Plenty of Fish = plenty of fanny... So I'm told.

A lot of my married friends use it. Reasons are: it's free, the women tend to be very easy and so easy to get laid without the cost and effort of an affair.

Me, I far rather find a woman in a bar, supermarket, work etc. Or rather did....

Pof is good fun! You can play 'who can find the mingingest bloke' or 'find the weirdy bloke' then share with your mates!
It just gets odd when you find a right fucking boss-eyed mentalist, share him for a laugh, and then a previously sane mate starts an actual relationship with him!!!!
He looked a right twat in his wedding kilt though!
