I'm 23, married for nearly two years - 98% of schoolfriends have had kids = not married... though this doesn't matter, people are assuming that we are abnormal because we are married that we should automatically try for children??! No thanks, I'm sorry but I feel really young and am selfish enough to admit that I like it being just me and Mr Hammy... lazy long weekends... holidays... no sleepless nights... 2/3rds through an honours degree in history... the list goes on and none of it would fit kids in at the moment!. I know that there is never a right time to have children in life but right now it wouldnt feel right, but I completely understand the whole peer pressure thing! x

(actually in all honesty the real reason is just I probably couldn't cope!)

Haha, Amen to this! I do want children at some point, but I love the fact I can saunter off for beers or the cinema, or for whole weekends away, with nothing more than a bag.

(Honesty moment: I sometimes look at babies and want to steal them. Although the crying usually puts a stop to that!)

I sometimes look at my kids and want to let someone steal them
"You don't think there's anything amiss? I'm sitting here wearing a red and white checked gingham dress and army boots and you think that's un-amiss?"

I dont know if this has already been said by those with children as ive not read the full lot of comments...but how many times after you've just had your first do people come up to you and say...'so, when are you having your next one' WOAH are you frickin kidding me do you not see the small bundle im frantically rocking in my arms, the bags under my eyes, my once lovely clothes now look like they've been washed in sick and poo and not to mention the irrepairable damage that my lady bits have just been subjected to. Why and again why do people ask that question???? im still being asked it today and my son is 2. now that you see that im gettin some form of a life back and some form of independance you want to pressure me in to having another one like its the done thing like ill be judged if i just have the one and spoil him.....urgh...rant over :s
