Rear Party is an unofficial community of military friends and families.
Members are familiy and friends of Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force serving and ex-personnel, as well as overseas military families and those just along for the ride.
The site name is called Rear Party after the military term for the group that stay behind in camp during military operations - providing essential support to the troops at the front.

Rear Party started in 2006 as the elegant and well behaved sister of the Army Rumour Service and Navy Net community websites. The site aims to cater for all of those whose family and friends are in the military as well as serving members of the armed forces who like the softer touch!
The site is for those with Army, Navy or RAF links, whether wives, gilfriends, mums or dads. You'll find information about postings and married quarters, clothes, cookery, children and schools. There's gossip and current affairs as well as the tea rooms for the more mature ladies.
