7 Day menu Slimming world
Hi all, I've been following this all week trying out the new slimming world extra easy plan. It has some great healthy recipes that are simple food but made healthier and i would definately reccomend the slimming world chips, they are yummy and can hardly taste the difference from the real thing.

Is this where I go wrong as that actually looks a lot more than what I would eat on daily basis - so can someone explain how I would eat more but lose weight? I don't get it.
Thanks

Snap, It really does look alot of food - 6 cheese triangles on ham for lunch, wow, If I was eating that type of lunch I'd maybe have 2 or 3 with a salad and the cold meats
Although I would guess its generally low cal/fat/sugar, nutritionally balanced and somewhere appropriate on the GI scales and a load of other science jargon...and we'd probably get told we need to eat more to stop our bodies hoarding stuff as fat cells.
Agree with tats though, some of those recipes do look tasty.Heaven wont have me, hell is scared I'll take over. Time for the pub!
Doesn't believe in rose coloured glasses but things do look better at the bottom of a glass of Rosé.

With Slimming World, if you don't eat enough, you don't lose as much weight. Sounds NUTS but it really does work - hence why you're never hungry. It's all low-fat food too, cooked in low fat sprays or baked or grilled etc., so you're not adding anything "unnecessary" to your meals.
It's a really good "diet" - healthy eating plan. It does help change the way you eat as well...nom nom. However, I'll only be back on it once this little one is a few months old...maybe :P

I can't believe how much I've been eating and still losing weight on this, it messes with the head seriously lol :P I was eating half as much before this plan, but you don't have to stuff yourself. The only one they suggest you fill yourself up on is brekkie, but trust me it stops snacking completely because you never feel hungry. its weird :S

OOh I'll be watching this board with interest, I will be signing up to SW on Tuesday as I need the kick up the arse to get me going to get back into the majority of my clothes. Being in hospital last year made me lazy!!

Tootsie, I thought the same when I joined slimming world a few years ago and was sceptical that I would lose any weight, but I did.
It felt so wrong to be having a cooked breakfast on my 'red' day AND have plenty of options to nibble on if I felt a bit peckish.
Its changed a bit since I went and some foods that were free now have a syn value but nothing drastic.
I LOVED that there were speed foods too that were free and on an all you can eat basis.

I have been following this plan for 5months now and have lost 1stone 8lbs to date. An average on 2lbs a week with a couple of gains at Christmas and holidays. The Delicious desserts are brilliant and give you a sweet alternative. Cannot recommend this eating plan highly enough.

I am gobsmacked that you can eat this much and still lose weight! I actually can't believe it, I've done diets that eat so much less than this and barely lost a pound! I might have to give this a try, then on payday sign up if it works for me.

Wowser, I have a big appetite and this looks way too good to be true. Definitely trying!
Can anyone advise - can veg like sweetcorn etc be frozen or does it have to be all fresh? Also, can you substitute free foods for other free foods ie. oranges for apples? Or do you have to stick to the menus for it to work?
And... can you eat the same thing ie. the same breakfast a few days in a row?
Thanks!Last edited by RubySlippers; 21-06-2012 at 14:15. Reason: Another Q!

In a previous life I was a slimming world consultant and one of the main principal is the more you eat the more you lose ... Of the right foods that is.
I would say yes you can swop an apple for an orange, and in theory you can eat the same breakfasts every day but beware as I always found that after a week of eating the same thing you either got bored of it or your body got used to it, vary them I would suggest, two days on one three on another etc.
I used to do working week on green and red at the weekend but everybody is different and it may take a little bit of time to find the right combination but it does work 100% !!! lots of speed foods such as melon and summer fruits mixed with muller lights or made into a sugar free jelly are great this time of year.
Good luck and ENJOY!!!

Oh one last thing frozen / fresh used to be fine but dried / tinned "fruit" and freshly squeezed juices is a no go and will have syns.

Hmm... Think I might give this a whirl. I need a serious boot up the arse after the Feeder came home and now all my work over the past 7mths has gone to waste. It looks all so simple! I like snacking on nuts and seeds though, and make my own granola - will this effect it too much?? Also free to eat as much fruit as you wish?? Not a big celery fan and carrots will get a little bit boring...
