Thought this might be a useful topic, so any suggestions or news on deals etc or links to sites would be brill.

Have found Air Berlin to be very good, especially to/from Paderborn. If you get a Top Bonus card you can earn yourself a free flight relatively quickly.

Ryanair can be ok, but make sure that the airport is relatively near to the main city - once flew to dusseldorf, but it was actually the old RAF base at Niederrhein (think thats how you spell it!!)

Neiderheim is in the arse end of nowhere but as bonus parking is dirt cheap - approximatly 15 euros for the weekend.

These got recommeneded to me, never flown with them but people have given good recommendations.

HLX are pretty cheap, only fly from Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester or Newcastle though. Lots of reccomendations from friends.

Just found another airline - I have just got back from the UK, which was a sudden decision - mate was having a birthday party - loads of my pals were going, so decided the night before I'd try and get a flight! Yeah, I bet your all thinking nutter - well the first few quotes i got I would have been mad to pay that am out of my hard earned dosh for one weekend, however someone told me about fly globespan (fly in and out of Glasgow) and i shit you not i got my flight for less than £100 - and the best part was I booked the flight and 12 hours later I was in Glasgow (how cool is that for that price):-) and my mates were all fluffed to chuck to see me, which was an added bonus!

Air Berlin are great, much better than HLX, on average 1/4 of my HLX flights left on time! Air Berlin are brill, they usually get you there before ETA aswell!

Go via Air Berlin to see my parents in Germany. We fly from Stansted to Dusseldorf. Booking in at Stansted is simple (the staff are very polite and helpful). The cost is about £140 for my wife, daughter and myself.
